It also helps if you apply concealer with the brush on all blemishes first, then go round and pat it in with your finger as opposed to applying and patting one blemish at a time, as that leaves the concealer sitting on the blemish for a bit longer, giving it time to warm up on your skin. Considering the thick nature of the product, use very small amounts and build up if you need it instead of starting with a lot of concealer as it’ll likely end up looking cakey. I then pat it in with my finger once it’s on the face as the warmth from your fingers will help it warm up and blend in with your foundation. In terms of application, I dip in my brush (I use the small ‘accent brush’ from the Real Techniques Core Collection, but any small detailer brush made for concealer or lips will do), wipe the product on the back of my hand to take off the excess and then work from what’s on my hand for my whole face instead of carrying on dipping my brush in the pot. It’s billed to be able to cover tattoos I don’t have any tattoos to test this out, but it really does have a very high level of coverage in it, making it perfect for hiding spots. ![]() I don’t have this problem with the cream, although beware, this is highly pigmented so you only need a tiny amount on a small concealer brush. I had struggled in the past with the Laura Mercier Secret Camoflage as I found it gets quite cold and dry in the pan. It comes in a small pot and is a thick creamy texture, making it easy to work with. I think the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer comes closer to be perfect than any concealer I’ve tried before. To be clear, I’m talking about blemish concealing here, I would usually use different concealers for eyes and face as I want something a lot more hydrating under the eyes than I’d put on a spot. I’ve spent a lot of time and money looking for the perfect concealer. ![]()
